In his address, Nagarajaiah said the work is a comprehensive and compact guide for Tulunadu, giving the reader a pleasurable feeling of traversing the region. “Each element, individual and place have their own history, which can be recognised by somebody who has an extra eye. The book tries to profile such unique persons and events,” he observed.
Reviewing the book, critic M Prabhakar Joshi said the articles in the book have broken the myth that newspaper writings do not have literary qualities. “One should go beyond the established stereotypes. Newspapers in Hindi, English and Marathi languages have been producing excellent literature in the past few years,” he noted.
Karnataka Yakshagana Academy President Kumble Sundar Rao presided. Kantavara Kannada Sangha head Dr Na Mogasale and the author Ganesh Aminagad were present.
