The petitioners MSPL had moved the High Court seeking directions to DC Bellary to issue mining dispatch permit as per the directions of Director Mines and Geology on July 15, 2007.
The petitioners had stated that over six lakh metric tonnes of iron ore which were mined, were lying idle their stock yard just waiting for permission to transport it. The petitioners said nearly Rs 99 lakh has been paid to the Government by them as royalty.
They had submitted several applications but in vain. They said nearly 2,800 employees have been deployed at the mines and any delay further will affect the livelihood of over 5000 employees.
