The High Court of Karnataka on Thursday stayed the transferring the Commissioner of Bellary Urban Development Authority (BUDA), Nafisa Khazi.
A vacation bench passed the interim order in a petition filed by Khazi, challenging her transfer. She had contended that KAS officers have to complete two years in a posting before being transferred and that she had been shifted even before completion of the mandatory term.
She was posted as BUDA commissioner on February 2, but transferred to the Urban Development Department in September.
