Differences between JD(S) legislator B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan and party leader H D Kumaraswamy have now come out in open.

Khan on Sunday said Kumaraswamy’s contribution to the JD(S) growth was “limited” and that the party had survived because of its national president H D Deve Gowda and the workers.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function, he said he had decided neither to take part in any party activity nor accept any position. But he said he would remain in the JD(S) and had no plans to hop to any other party. Khan asserted that he had “high respect” for Gowda and the party had survived because of his efforts.

Khan, who is MLA from Chamarajpet, has been sulking of late. Once a close aide of Kumaraswamy, his relationship with the party leader has turned sour. Khan is said to be upset with Kumaraswamy for not giving him importance in the party. He was trying to emerge as the Muslim face of the JD(S).
