Gokarna, Karwar and Siddapur in Uttara Kannada district received heavy rain on Tuesday morning.

In the last 24 hours till 8.30 am, the district received a total of 60.7 mm of rainfall. The average rainfall stood at 5.5 mm.

The details of rainfall in different places of the district are as follows: Ankola - 4.2 mm, Bhatkal -1.8 mm, Honnavar -16 mm, Karwar - 11.4 mm, Kumta - 1.6 mm, Siddapur - 18.2 mm, Sirsi - 4.5 mm, Joida - 2.6 mm and Yellapuar - 0.4 mm.

The water level at Supa reservoir stood at 530.08 metres against the maximum of 564 metres. The inflow was 313 cusecs while the outflow was 795 cusecs.

Heavy rain pounded KR Nagar town and surrounding villages in Mysuru district for more than two hours on Tuesday.

The weather in the town was cloudy since morning and the skies opened up around 1 pm and poured till 3 pm.

The roads of the town were waterlogged, causing inconvenience to residents. Mysuru city also remained cloudy since morning and parts of the city received light showers in the afternoon.

At Naganahalli, the meteorological department has predicted cloudy sky, light to moderate rainfall from June 21 to 25 in Mysuru district. According to experts, 3 mm rainfall is expected on June 21.
