He said the denotification powers should be withdrawn to prevent misuse in future.
He was speaking with mediapersons before leaving for Harapanahalli to launch various programmes here on Thursday.
Reacting strongly against Opposition parties’ criticism of the government over denotification of land, Minister said the Opposition parties have no moral right to criticise the government, for huge lands were given through denotification by the S M Krishna and H D Kumaraswamy governments.
“There is no need to compare the denotification issue to the scams with regard to Ashok Chavan or A Raja, for it is not at all a scam,” he argued.
