Hosapete, Hubballi tourists stranded in Jammu and Kashmir due to snowfall

Two residents of the town and their eight relatives are stranded at a private hotel in Sonmarg in Jammu and Kashmir following heavy snowfall.

Prakash Meharwade, his wife Sudha and their eight relatives reached Srinagar on March 5 on a tour. They are staying at a private hotel in Sonmarg. Meharwade told DH that the whole area was filled with snow and the power supply hit from Thursday.

The diesel stock in the hotel is also exhausted. But there is no problem with food, he said and added that Minister Anand Singh had called and enquired about their condition.
