Hubballi-based Krishna Engineering Company has been honoured with Sir M Visvesvaraya Manufacturing Excellence Award 2017, in engineering and machine tools sector in SME category, for farm-machinery being manufactured by the company.
The award was presented by Large & Medium Industries Minister R V Deshpande and Small Scale Industries Minister M C Mohakumari at the Invest Karnataka Summit held in Bengaluru recently. Company proprietor Kartik Jagadish Thakkar received the award.
Mr Thakkar is a BE graduate from BVBCET, and he commercialised his BE final year project by establishing his own firm, with the help of his family. The company manufactures weeder-cum-sprayer, and other agri machinery.
