Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday reiterated that he is capable of winning from any of the Assembly segments in the state.

Speaking after laying foundation stone for various development works at Lingadevarakoppal under Chamundeshwari Assembly segment, here, Siddaramaiah said, "A few people have been spreading rumours that Siddaramaiah will contest from Badami, Koppal or from Hebbal Assembly constituency. I am capable of wiining the polls from any of the 224 Assembly segments in the state."

Speaking about BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, Siddaramaiah said, Yeddyurappa has been making false allegations against the state government as he is under depression. After Congress party in 2013, the government presented a budget worth Rs 98,000 crore and has grown to Rs 1,86,000 crore in 2017-18. The size of the budget for 2018-19 will Rs 2.10 lakh crore. Is it possible to present such a huge budget, if the government is bankrupt, he questioned.

Yeddyurappa, who speaks without sense, is not fit to be even a gram panchayat member.

Replying to a query on the Karnataka bandh scheduled for Thursday, Siddaramaiah said, the government has no connection with the Karnataka bandh called by various organisations to protest over Mahadayi River water distribution issue.
