The basketball tourney has 13 teams including engineering, medical and degree college participating in the tournament. Amrithamayi College beat National Institute of Engineering (NIE) by 17-16 with Abhilash scoring 11 points for winners.
JSS Medical College beat Yuvaraja’s College by 27-19 despite a valiant effort by Rakesh of Yuvaraja’s who scored 15 points. Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) beat Mysore Medical College and Research Institute by 27-10. Ajay G Shenoy emerged top scorer for SJCE. PGSC beat JSS College Ooty Road, by 44-26. Mahajana’s College defeated Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology (VVIET) by 29-26. Among evening colleges, Basudev Somani beat Amrithamayi by 41-27 with Subash and Varun contributing 12 and 11 points respectively. Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) defeated Yuvaraja’s College by 33-9 with Prasidh scoring for VVCE. Vidya Vikas Institute of Engineering Technology beat JSS College, Ooty Road by 27-17 with Shabaz scoring 10 points.
