Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR) Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, disclosed that--a Rs 53,000 crore 'Jaladhara' scheme-- is being designed to supply piped drinking water to all villages in Karnataka.

After inspecting water supply projects in Hubballi taluk, on Wednesday, he told reporters that the scheme would be launched in one year's time and would need six years for implementation.
