JD(U) State President C S Nadagoudar on Tuesday said that he met Yeddyurappa in the prison.

He told Deccan Herald that it would be a potential turnaround for the JD(U), which does not have a single MLA, if the Yeddyurappa faction joined the party.

“Those who have stood by Yeddyurappa are all my erstwhile colleagues. Umesh Katti, C M Udasi, Ramesh Jigajinagi, Basavaraj Bommai and a host of others were in the Janata Parivar. It may not be difficult for them to come back to the party.

Yeddyurappa may not venture out to launch a regional party, going by the poor performance of regional parties in the State,” he said.
