Bengaluru: The Kannada & Culture department has formed a six-member committee to investigate allegations of financial misappropriation and abuse of power by Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Mahesh Joshi.
The committee has the registrar of cooperative societies, joint director of the Karnataka State Audit and Accounts department and the rest are officials from the Kannada & Culture department.
The committee has been asked to submit its report in 30 days. Joshi, who was elected in 2021 for a five-year term, is also facing a separate inquiry by the cooperation department.
