In a press release, he said that the D K Shivakumar's statement shows the amount of hatred towards Hindu community and heights of minority appeasement. He has hurt the sentiments of Hindus during the festive season.

“Hindu tradition will be followed in all Hindu mutts, temples and shrines”, he said.

Malatesh criticised DKS for apologising after singing the RSS anthem in legislative assembly, as he buckled under the pressure by his party High Command. He should know that 'Namaste Sadaa Vatsale' is from the motherland and is a patriotic song. D K Shivakumar did not apologise to people when his own party member from Legislative Council raised victory slogans for Pakistan, he pointed out and urged the DCM to immediately apologise to Hindu community.
