Speaking to mediapersons here, Yatindra said, “There is demand to give ministerial berths to many seniors (party). Some have also expressed their opinion. Similarly, chief minister too has implicitly spoke about this.”

“There is no chance of me becoming a minister. The chief minister has already clarified in this regard. Former Mysore-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha is an irrelevant politician. People from his own party don’t listen to him. Why should we give any importance to his words?” he added.

Speaking on the ‘Kari Topi’ (black cap) remark by Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Yatindra said that the former was in Bengaluru to know about problems related to road and others. “Muniratna was also in Congress before going to BJP. Shivakumar might have called Muniratna ‘Kari Topi’ out of familiarity. There is no need to make it an issue.”

It’s in November: Zameer

Terming ‘November Kranti’ a media creation, Housing Minister B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan said Siddaramaiah would continue as chief minister for full five-year term.

Speaking to reporters in Hubballi on Sunday, the minister said the Cabinet would be reshuffled in November, and there is a chance of giving ministerial berths to new faces. “Many leaders have a wish to become CM, but high command will take a final call on it. There is no infighting in the Congress party, it is there in the BJP,” he alleged.

Replying to a query, he said no minister or MLA proposed to the CM to ban the RSS.
