Mysuru: Mysore Sales International Limited (MSIL) retail outlets in Karnataka including Mysuru branches have recorded double the sales of liquor on New year eve on December 31, 2024, compared to average sales on a normal day.
As many as 1059 MSIL outlets across Karnataka including 140 outlets in Mysuru have recorded the sales of 39,620 carton boxes of liquor worth Rs 16,81,89,666 including Rs 2,77,55,468 in Mysuru branch on New Year Eve, December 31, 2024, according to MSIL, MD, Manoj Kumar.
On December 31, 2023, liquor sales worth Rs 18.85 crore were recorded and Rs 14.51 crore in 2022.
On a normal day, average liquor sales worth Rs 8.50 crore per day were recorded in the state, and over Rs 1 crore per day in Mysuru branches comprising Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Hassan and Mandya districts.
Director, Marketing, MSIL, A M Chandrappa informed that, MSIL outlet on Gunj Road in Raichur district has recorded the state's highest sale of liquor worth Rs 8,79,080.
Another outlet near a railway station in Raichur has recorded the state's second highest liquor sale worth Rs 8,25,981.
An outlet in K R Pet town in Mandya district has recorded the state's sixth highest liquor sales worth Rs 6,92,981. An outlet at Devanahalli in Bengaluru rural has recorded the state's tenth highest liquor sales worth Rs 6,32,186, he said.
He added that an outlet of H D Kote-Hunsur in Mysuru district has recorded the state's 13th highest liquor sales worth Rs 6,07,010.
Outlet of Sakleshpur in Hassan district has recorded the state's 15th highest liquor sales worth Rs 5,84,331.
An outlet at Byregowdanahalli gate in Bengaluru urban has recorded the state's 16th highest liquor sales of Rs 5,66,851.
Another outlet on Attibele road in Bengaluru urban has recorded the state's 17th highest liquor sales worth Rs 5,03,672 crore.
An outlet in Hassan has recorded the state's 18th highest liquor sales worth Rs 5,02,840 crore, Chandrappa said.
