He was speaking at the valedictory of folklore youth festival organised jointly by Karnataka Janapada Academy, Karnataka Sangha, Department of Youth Services and Sports in Mandya on Sunday.

People practiced various forms of folklore arts from generation to generation. There is lot of changes took place in folklore arts and literature while passing of this rich cultural knowledge from one generation to another generation, he added.

Felicitated

Deputy Conservator of Forests Vinaykumar felicitated various folk artists on the  occasion such as Dr Jayalakshmi Seethapura( Pata Kunitha), Dr Sujatha Akki( Tamatemela), Dr Kuruva Basavaraju( Dollukunitha),  V N Shivaram(Kolata) and Dr H R Chethana( Ranga kunitha).

Basavaraj Mallashetty, Y K Chandrashekharappa, Karnataka Janapada Academy Registrar B N Pareddy, Assistant Director for Youth Services and Sports H P Manjula and Karnataka Sangha President Professor Jayaprakashgowda and others were present.
