A total of seven members including the Mangalore chapter of Kerala Samajam will be receiving the awards on the occasion, said Samajam General Secretary P Narayanan at a press meet here on Monday.
The other recipients are M K Ramachandran (Trissur), Johny Lukose of Manorama News, Dr D Ramanathan (Trissur), P Venugopal (Kolkata), V K Mohammad (Bhilai) and A P R Nair (Jamshedpur). Akshaya Pustaka Nidhi President Payipra Radhakrishnan will preside and deliver M P Manmadhan memorial lecture.
Mangalore Mayor Rajani Dugganna will inaugurate ‘Akshaya Jyothi’ scheme, through which the Kerala Samajam will supply book shelves to various organisations. The event will be followed by an orchestra by Asianet star singer artistes, Narayanan informed. Samajam office-bearers A P Balagopalan, M Narayanan, K V Kunhikrishnan were present.
