Herpetologist Prafulladas Bhat was called upon to catch the King Cobra and when Bhat tried to get the King Cobra out of the pile of wood, it made an attempt to escape, due to which it injured itself. Cobra was brought to Kalasa Veterinary Hospital where it succumbed to its injuries. It was 10 ft long. It was buried after a post mortem.
