Students from the Kittur Rani Chennamma Residential Composite Girls PU college, Kittur, had recently gone on an exchange programme to the Saginaw Valley State University under a tri-partite MoU signed between the two and also with Carlton Public School in Michigan.

The exchange programme between the three education centres was signed in June 2008. The programme concentrated on the difference in education system, learning and the facilities provided by them and in Karnataka, was held for one month.A team of four girls and two teachers along with the Principal M V Deshpande returned from this trip with a rich experience, according to them. The students who got the opportunity for the American visit were Neeharika, Soumya, Roshni and Tejashree.
