The Karnataka Janata Party (KJP) will accord priority to labour welfare if voted to power, party president B S Yeddyurappa said on Sunday.

Speaking after inaugurating KJP’s Labour Wing in the city, Yeddyurappa said the KJP considered farmers and the labour force the two eyes of the
party.

KJP Labour Wing president L Kalappa said the party would consider including issues like increasing salaries for garment factory workers, providing government employee status to anganwadi workers, medical insurance and organising heath check-up camps for the work force in its election manifesto.
