KJP leader Dhananjay Kumar said the party is confident of forming the government independently and will contest to all assembly seats in the forthcoming assembly polls to be held on May 5 in the State.

Speaking to media persons, he said there is no question of returning back to BJP. Although the party had contested only for 50 per cent of the seats in the recent ULBs polls, the outcome is satisfactory. “We have achieved reasonable outcome despite being a new party. The party has done well in the regions like Belgaum, Bagalkot and Bijapur.

Most of the party candidates who contested as independent candidates have won. The party intends to strengthen the regional set up and intensive programme has been designed to work from grass root level. The party has formed four groups to build up the party. Responding to the aspirations of people and societal justice will be the main priority of the party,” he stressed.

The party leaders have finished one round of visiting the constituencies in the State and are on the second round visit. The first list comprising the names of 69 candidates is out and the second list of candidates will be out after a meeting to be held from March 25 to 26. Party President B S Yeddyurappa has traveled in nearly 150 constituencies and he has received immense public support.  He ridiculed that BJP is totally destroyed owing to internal politics. The selection of BJPs State President itself signifies that the party politics is turning out to be a family affair. BJP leader Ananth Kumar should be held responsible for the devastating position of BJP at present. Prahlad Joshi is a dummy President and Ananth Kumar is the real President. There is very little scope for BJP to bounce back into the format of a full fledged political party, he added.

Ridiculing that the major problem of Congress is too many leaders and too many aspirants for CM post, Kumar said all leaders in the party are in the race for CM post. Congress has drastically failed as an opposition party in the assembly. JD(S) which received severe blow in the recent ULBs polls will never be accepted by the voters.
He said KJP intends to fight against the step motherly attitude of centre towards Karnataka.

He added that in the present political scenario the regional parties have upper hand and play a major role in deciding the authority at the centre. There are possibilities of unexpected results.
