Returning Officer N Prabhakar addressing, the press persons after reviewing the arrangements made for the counting of votes at the Government Boys’ College in Kolar, on Friday said, all the necessary measures have been taken for the smooth counting at the College. Counting will commence  at 8 am and 118 tables have been put for this purpose.

A supervisor, assistants, will be in-charge of each table.

 In the first round, postal ballot and service ballot will be counted.

 In the next rounds, votes in the Electronic Voting Machines will be counted.  Three types of software will be used as per the Election Commission guidelines.

A total of 600 police  are deployed for security purpose.  Sale of liquor is also banned till May 17, he added.
