The vigilance Squad of Chikkodi caught one flour mill at Raibag town for committing power theft by tampering meter security seals and manipulating meter readings. A penalty of Rs 1.39 lakh was imposed and criminal case booked. In Hosakote, a commercial water supply unit at Dandupalya village was caught for committing power theft by directly drawing power from the distribution lines. A penalty of Rs 2.68 lakh was imposed and criminal case booked.
Similarly, the vigilance Squad of Ramanagara caught one commercial water supply unit at Kammanahalli village, Anekal taluk for committing power theft by bypassing the meter. A fine of Rs 1.90 lakh was imposed and criminal case booked.
