Addressing presspersons after visiting the victims of the power plant at Nandikur in Yellur area here on Friday, he said the government should make company to abide by the minimum specified conditions to protect the environment and ecology of the area.
He said the government has failed to realise the impending dire consequences.
“The farmers and public in the area are undergoing tremendous problems with regard to health, drinking water and environmental pollution. The Government has become toothless and its officials are puppets in the hands of the Company,” he alleged. He said a delegation of KRRS will meet Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to appraise him of the ill effects of thermal power plant.
