Speaking after inaugurating Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations and Chelur hobli branch of the Vedike at Chelur in Bagepalli taluk on Friday, KRV State president T A Narayana
Gowda said that regional parties are necessary to ensure development of the State.

He came down heavily on Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa stating that the progress of the State can’t be expected from the CM, who shed tears in front of media after having failed in preventing the ministerial colleagues from looting the resources worth crores of rupees through illegal mining in the border areas.

Even when the flood-victims of north Karnataka were struggling for food, shelter and clothes, the ministers were cozying up in luxury hotels, he said adding that it was a mockery of democracy. Even ‘Delhi leaders’ couldn’t control such ministers, he said reiterating that the political imbroglio in the State has necessitated  emergence of a strong regional party.

Social worker and Bangalore-based Sri Bhagini Group of Hotels owner Chinnakalapalli S N Subbareddy, speaking on the occasion, said that he would arrange for the breakfast of parents and their caretaker in Bagepalli government hospital on January 15.

He also said he has planned contribute for the construction of school building or an ambulance for the Chelur government hospital after consulting the local leaders and the public. He also said that he would contribute to provide educational and medical facilities.
