Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Vice Chancellor K G Chandrashekhar said varsity’s Karwar regional office was closed, as furnitures were shifted and office bearers deputed to varsity, with the presence of police recently.
On September 16, Regional Office In-charge Director Anant L Zandekar was suspended over irregularities, for not providing scholarship amount, released by Social Welfare Department, to students belonging to Scheduled Caste, he informed.
Stating that, as various charges against Zandekar were proven, he was suspended. Hence, none should consult him for matters related to varsity, and varsity will not be held responsible for irregularities with suspended director, the VC said in a press release.
