KSRTC staff to get a salary hike

The salaries of the employees of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation and Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation will go up by 10 per cent with retrospective effect from April 1 this year, sources said.

The Finance Department has given its concurrence to hike the salaries.

The basic pay will go up by 10 per cent while the present rate of dearness allowance will continue.

Since the North Eastern and North Western Road Transport Corporations are running under loss, the salaries of the employees at the two corporations will go up by only nine per cent.
The Transport Department will issue a circular on the salary revision soon, sources said.
