Opposing the Centre's labour policies, the KSRTC Staff and Workers Federation will stage various kinds of protests for 40 days continuously from August 9, 2018, said the federation's general secretary H V Anantha Subba Rao.

Addressing the media on Monday, he called for a repeal of the workers' code and constitution of a law in its place. He also demanded the Union government let go of its policies favouring corporates.

"Prime Minister Modi's labour policies are against social justice. He has compromised public interest and ushered in the corporate sector style of functioning," he added.
