The CPM will contest in 18 constituencies across the State, and join hands with Communist Party of India (CPI), Sarvodaya Party and Loksatta Party, providing ‘alternative’ platform for voters.

“We will contest from 18 constitutencies and have finalised our list of candidates. Following the decision to join hands with other Left parties and like-minded outfits, the CPM will try to have a pre-poll alliance for contesting across the State,” said CPM State Secretary G N Nagaraj.

In Bangalore, CPM will look to contest from KR Puram and Anekal seats, where the party has a cadre base.
