'Legal literacy, an imperative'

Speaking at a mobile legal literacy camp held at the community hall in Hosur village of the taluk on Saturday, the judge disclosed that Legal Service Authority has released  a book titled “Law for layman” with the objective of spreading legal literacy. He called upon the public to go through the book to acquire knowledge of the laws of the land.
Zilla Panchayat member Shivarama Reddy, who spoke on the occasion said that public should have minimum knowledge on laws affecting their daily life.

CPI Srinivasmurthy, Bar Association president G Mallikarjun, Planning Officer of Women and Child Welfare Department Usha and others were present.
