Congress MLA Pratap Gouda Patil (Maski, Raichur district) was admitted to Fortis Hospital, Cunningham Road, on April 17 after he complained of severe chest pain.
Post-diagnosis, it was confirmed that he had suffered a heart attack and an emergency angioplasty was performed. A stent was inserted into the left coronary artery, said doctors who treated him.
“Gouda’s condition is being monitored round the clock by a team of specialist doctors under the guidance of Dr Keshava, interventional cardiologist. He is stable now and will be discharged in a few days,” said the hospital authorities.
