Akhila Bharat Lingayat Panchamsali Community forced drivers to move police vans to make way for arrival of Basav Jaymritunjay Swamiji of Panchamsali Peetha.

Citizens and activists have begun gathering for the protest organised by the Akhila Bharat Lingayat Panchamsali Community. They are demanding 2A reservation in jobs and educational institutions for the community at the protest site at Kondaskoppa near Suvarna Vidhan Soudha on Tuesday (December 10).

However, a tense situation prevailed during the arrival of Basav Jaymritunjay Swamiji of Panchamsali Peetha, Kudalsangam as police buses parked on the road obstructed the movement of the seer's vehicle.

Protestors forced the drivers to move the police vehicles.

Also, vehicles of people coming to the protest site is being stopped near Hirebagewadi. Police were asked to allow the vehicles to drop the community members at protests site as elders were finding it difficult to walk long distances.

Police officials were cautioned that they would be responsible for any untoward incidents due to obstruction by their vehicles.
