When Fakirswamy went to ask for the permit to put up a vegetable shop from marketing officer Shamanna, he allegedly demanded a bribe of Rs 4,000. Fakirswamy had given a bribe of Rs 1,000 on Thursday morning and informed the Lokayukta about this. Later, in the evening when he was giving the balance amount of Rs 3,000 to Shamanna, the Lokayukta police conducted a raid and arrested him.
