Police are yet to ascertain the identity of the victims. The double-axle lorry was on its way from Nagpur to Bhalki town.
Police suspect that the driver may have lost control of the lorry, while letting another vehicle from the opposite direction pass through on the narrow bridge.
The police managed to track down and contact the owner of the lorry in Nagpur using the vehicle registration number.
A case has been registered at the Bhalki Rural Police Station.
