Speaking at a workshop on Right to Information Act for the officials of district administration and other departments at ZP hall, he said the Right to Information Act which was implemented in October 12, 2005 is useful for the commonman. It is an effective Act, he informed.
Under RTI Act, the officials must furnish details within 30 days. Delay in furnishing details will lead to penalty. The public can collect details on any development works. Deputy Commissioner Dr N S Channappa Gowda, ZP CEO M R Ramanna, Secretary Kantaraj and others were present.
