Commissioner of Police Anupam Agrawal said that the accused Anil Kumar has been arrested. He is from Ajjarani village in Sirsi Taluk.

An FIR was registered against him following a complaint by Suhan Alva over a video being circulated in social media, wherein certain objectionable words were used against CM Siddaramaiah and others.

Agrawal said that the Anil was trying to get his name added to a ration card in Mangaluru to get benefit of various government schemes. However, due to server issues, he wasn't able to do so for the last three months.

Frustrated over it, he made a video and uploaded it on social media on Tuesday. The police have arrested him and a case has been registered. Investigation is in progress, Agrawal said.
