A 35-year-old man from Bengaluru died at Kudle beach near Gokarna on Sunday after he was washed away by huge waves.
The deceased has been identified as Srinivasa S Shankarappa, a resident of Kamakshipalya, Bengaluru.
Shankarappa and five others had come to Gokarna from Bengaluru on Saturday night and three of them ventured into the sea on Sunday noon.
All the three were washed away by huge waves. The police and local people managed bring them ashore. However, Shankarappa died at the PHC in Gokarna.
