A man was washed away in a stream at Kourikumbri village, near Agumbe, in Thirthahalli taluk on Wednesday.
Police said the deceased was Chandrashekhara (55).
The incident took place when he was on his way to his farmland. He tried to cross the stream which was flowing above the danger level, lost his balance and drowned.
Agumbe police registered a case in this regard.
