A man had taken a room at Madhu lodge on September 3 and had mentioned his name as Ravikumar in hotel records.
According to sources, the hotel employees had cleaned the room on September 5. Police suspect that he might have committed suicide on Monday evening or on Tuesday.
A case has been registered at Hassan town police station.
