Accused Jaffar seen with Forest department personnel.
Forest department personnel took a person into custody for illegally fishing at Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary on Saturday evening.
Forest officials said that Jaffar, Mahesh, Shiva and Kumar were fishing using a boat. While Jaffar was arrested, the others escaped.
A team led by Range Forest Officer (RFO) Ananyakumar and DRFO Puttamadegowda conducted the raid. Murugesh, an employee of the sanctuary, was injured in the raid.
