Manjunathapura residents slammed MCC officials for neglecting their area. A resident Rajanna lambasted the corporation as it was causing difficulty for women and children to venture out after dark.
Adding voice to the allegation, Shwetha, of the same area, complained that youth were frequently assaulting and misbehaving with women in the area. She complained that despite repeated complaints no action was being taken to rectify the streetlights. Also, with the drain being blocked, children were at risk of being affected by diseases.
Another resident, Ramesh said power cuts between 7 pm and 11 pm were affecting two houses and a temple in the area as the electricity line was connected to the industrial layout. He urged them to take corrective measures.
