The martyrs day was observed in Madikeri on Saturday. With all government honour, the mortal remains of Gandhi was taken in a procession in the presence of DC Ashwathanarayana Gowda, SP Manjunath Annigeri, Additional DC Chandre Gowda, District Treasury Officer Usman. Sarvadharma prayer was held on the occasion at Gandhi Maidan. Scouts and Guides students sang bhajan and two minute silence was observed.
