Dr Geetha, Medical Superintendent of KR Hospital here had been appointed as the Director of the Mysore Medical College, while Dr Prasad had been appointed to head the Hassan Medical College, he said.
The minister, who made an unscheduled visit to the KR Hospital said the staff of the two coleges who had been appointed in violation of the rules had been issued notices.
Further, he warned doctors in government hospitals who were in indulging in private practice, that they would sacked if they did not desist.
