In the  absence of the hostel in-charge on the occasion, the Minister visited rooms of the students. Stench emanating from the toilet, unkempt premises and rooms greeted the Minister.

The Minister noticed that 30 fans from the hostel were missing,  the TV set had been shifted to the warden’s house, and low quality food was being  supplied to the students. The students came out with a flood of complaints and requested the Minister to provide basic amenities to the hostel.

Taluk Panchayat Executive Officer, Backward Classes and Minorities officers failed to turnout on the occasion.

Enraged by the pathetic condition and responding to the students’ plea, the Minister
directed the Deputy Commissioner to suspend the Taluk Backward Classes and Minorities  Officer.
