Minister visited district hospital for the first time on Tuesday and addressing the reporters after inspecting the hospital, he expressed his disappointment over the prevailing condition in district hospital.

“The hospital administration here is not up to mark when compared to other districts. I want the hospital to treat patients like guests,” he said and added that government is providing as much as Rs 70 lakh for the hospital to purchase medicines but the hospital has utilised only Rs 45 lakh.

“Please spend the money for the right purpose,” he urged the District Surgeon. Sriramulu said that if doctors divert patients from district hospital to private hospitals for treatment, such doctors will be suspended from duty. He promised to start ICU and dialysis centre in the hospital at the earliest. District-in-charge Minister Krishna J Palemar was present.
