Talking to reporters after assessing the rain damaged areas in the district, he said eight houses have been badly damaged. Since they were quite old they were causing hardship for neighbours too. Need of the hour is to release the compensation and instill confidence among the affected.
The damage caused in the district due to rains would be brought to the notice of Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.
He also collected details regarding damage being caused to crops owing to breach of Attihalli Tank in the taluk and directed the officials to take up rehabilitation work on war footing.
