Minister walks to Karnataka Assembly to protest fuel price hike

Medical Education Minister Ramachandra Gowda, 72, who started from home at Basaveshwaranagar at 9.45 am, reached Vidhan Soudha at 11.15 am to attend proceedings of the ongoing legislature session.

"I protested against the fuel hike without causing trouble to people or disrupting the traffic," Gowda said.

The minister said his family and followers were happy that he had decided to go by foot to protest the fuel hike.

Gowda did raise many an eyebrow on the road with several curious onlookers lining up to see a minister going to the Vidhan Soudha on foot.
