MRPL DGM Lekshmi Kumaran said that the fire was reported in the hydrogen unit at around 6 am and the same was doused within 12 minutes with the help of fire brigade personnel. The incessant rains too have helped douse the fire quickly, it is said.
To a query, Kumaran said that the fire alarm was not raised to warn the neighbouring villagers as the mishap was minor.
