MNC's nationwide crusade against malaria

An insecticide company has taken up a nationwide crusade against Malaria. This campaign - ‘HIT Kill Malaria,’ carried out in partnership with the Mysore City Corporation witnessed a participation of over ten schools and housing societies across the city.

This nationwide wide campaign has already reached out to about ten lakh families across the country.

To create awareness about the perils of Malaria, informative handouts were distributed in schools explaining the symptoms of the disease and preventive measures to be taken. Quiz contests were conducted to drive this awareness among students in higher classes, said the release.
At the housing society level, street plays were organised to spread the message of the campaign and

other interesting activities were held to get people mindful about the disease and at the same time educate them on preventive measures.

The street plays were organised by an NGO called Credit-i. Some of the schools participating in this campaign include Avila Convent School, St Thomas School, Rotary West School, Paras Jain School and others.

Speaking on this campaign,  Kapil Dev Pillai, category head,  Godrej Consumer Products said, “Our experience indicates that people have strong misconceptions about Malaria.
